Privacy Policy

What we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.

This policy explains what personal information DR SALES ("we", "us") collects through this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are. We keep it deliberately short and specific.

Who we are

DR SALES is a UK-based distribution business supplying branded consumer goods wholesale and retail. For the purposes of UK data protection law, DR SALES is the data controller for information collected through this website.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

  • Enquiry and trade account form details — your name, email address, telephone number and business details (trading name, business type, and where you provide them, company and VAT numbers and a trading address or website), plus the content of your message and the categories you select.
  • Direct contact — if you email or call us, we hold whatever you send us as part of that correspondence.

We do not ask for payment details through this website, and you should never send card or bank details to us by email.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To respond to your enquiry — our lawful basis is legitimate interests (replying to someone who has contacted us) or, where you are asking about placing an order, steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.
  • To keep a record of correspondence — legitimate interests, so we can deal with follow-up questions, disputes or returns.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you specifically ask us to, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary to run the website and respond to you:

  • Our hosting provider, which stores this website and processes form submissions on our behalf.
  • Our email provider, which delivers and stores the enquiry emails we receive.
  • Professional advisers or authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

Cookies and third-party content

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not track you across other sites. Your browser may store standard technical data needed to load the pages.

Typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, your IP address is visible to Google as part of that request. If you would prefer to avoid this, the fonts can be self-hosted on request.

Where we link to an external website, that site is operated by another company. Once you follow such a link, that company's own privacy policy and cookie practices apply, not ours.

How long we keep it

Enquiry correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months so we can deal with follow-up questions, then deleted. Where an enquiry leads to an order, records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes.

Where your information is held

Information is held on servers within the UK or the European Economic Area wherever possible. Where a provider stores data outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards that provider has in place, such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete information where there is no good reason for us to keep it;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, our use of your information;
  • ask us to transfer your information to another organisation, where technically possible.

To exercise any of these, email drsales100@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Children

This website is intended for adults, and the trade account application is for business use. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date below.
